first grade

Carter and Ms. Brumfield... (carter always has hotties for teachers--she reminds me of you alison... and his K teacher in Bellevue last year was a Britney Spears look alike. good thing these are first graders and not junior high kids. :)

can't believe carter is already in first grade. after attending 3 kindergarten classes last year with all of our moving, he handled the first day like a champ. i, of course wanted to take lots of pictures of him and his teacher, but after a while he said "ok mom, you can go now..." thanks buddy. appreciate ya... anyways, here are some shots of his first day.

and by the way: LOVING not having to wake him up at 6 am and rush him through breakfast and try to do it quietly so that damian stays asleep. He catches the bus at 8:54 and school starts around 9:10!! it's actually a little later then I'd like, but man, I'm enjoying not having to wake up at the butt crack of dawn.

He was really cute jumping off the bus when he got home and giving me the typical answers to my questions:
Me: how was your first day buddy?
Him: fine.
Me: what'd you learn about?
Him: i don't know
Me: well what did you do?
Him: i don't know
Me: ok, well did you have fun?
Him: mmmm hmmmm....

WOWSERS!!! love these conversations.
